Central Heights is just minutes away from downtown Okotoks, a beautiful historic town. The town’s name is derived from the Blackfoot word of “ohkotok” which is a reference to the Big Rock or the glacial erratic at the Foothills Erratic Train located seven kilometres from the town. David Thompson, the British-Canadian surveyor, was the person that had explored the land in the 1800's.
